GTT notified by SHI for the tank design of two new LNG Carriers

Paris - September 24th, 2018. GTT has received a new order from the Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), concerning the tank design of two 174,000 m3 LNGCs, on behalf of a European ship owner.

The LNG tanks of both units will be fitted with theMark III Flex+ membrane containment system developed by GTT, offering a guaranteed boil-off rate of 0.07% of tank volume/day. The delivery of the vessels is planned during the second semester of 2020.
