In 2016, Komercijalna Banka approved RSD 31.6 billion in loans, which is 27 per cent more compared to the previous year, with about 30 per cent growth recorded in the segment of lending to micro enterprises, agricultural and housing loans.

Despite the further reduction of deposit interest rates at the end of 2016 compared to the previous year, 41% increase was recorded in corporate deposits. The amount of deposits collected in 2016 was the highest in the past six years.

At the end of 2016, Komercijalna Banka generated the operating net income of RSD 6.5 billion, which is at the level of the previous year.

By the level of the share capital, Komercijalna Banka ranks second in the market; the capital adequacy ratio is 26.97 per cent, which is significantly above the regulatory limit of 12 per cent prescribed by the National Bank of Serbia.

By the level of assets, according to the latest published data, Komercijalna Banka has about 13 per cent of the Serbian banking market and has maintained high second place among the commercial banks in Serbia.

The balance sheet sum of Komercijalna Banka at the end of 2016 reached the level of 3.2 billion euros and recorded an increase of 1.7 per cent compared to the previous year.

By the level of savings deposits, Komercijalna Banka has been a long-time leader in the domestic financial market and this position is once again confirmed. During 2016 there was an increase of savings deposits in the amount of 21 million euros and at the end of the year of the savings in the bank amounted to 1.59 billion euros.

Komercijalna Banka has established reserves for estimated losses on balance sheet assets and off-balance sheet items of 18.8 billion dinars, which is 10.2 billion more than the required reserves calculated according to the regulations of the National Bank of Serbia.

In 2016, all performance parameters remained far above the limits prescribed by the Law on Banks. The bank has met all obligations, which is a reliable indicator of a stable and safe operations, and confirmation of the fact that Komercijalna Banka is highly capitalized and stable institution with great confidence rating.

The audit of Komercijalna Banka's financial statements 2016 was performed by authorized auditing firm Ernst & Young d.o.o. Belgrade and the Bank was given a clean opinion, that 'the separate financial statements present a true and fair financial position of the Bank as at 31 December 2016 and of its financial performance and its cash flows for the year ended on that date, in accordance with the International Standards of Financial Reporting'.
