Sunrise Communications : Preorder the new iPhones starting Friday – with free tariff upgrade

'Despite the amazing summer we just had, now starts the best time of year for Sunrise customers with an iPhone. Three years ago, we made an important promise with the exclusive and free Sunrise Smartphone Upgrade option: to receive the latest iPhone every 12 months at no extra cost. Customers who subscribed to this option now have something to look forward to. They will be the first to receive the newest iPhones if they preorder it starting Friday. At the same time our customers can save money with a tariff upgrade and the Smartphone Recycling Plan, 'states Olaf Swantee, CEO of Sunrise.

Free tariff upgrade

With the purchase of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11Pro and iPhone 11Pro Max new and existing Sunrise customers benefit 24 months from a tariff upgrade on their Sunrise Freedom mobile subscription (Sunrise Europe Data, Sunrise Europe & US, Sunrise Young Europe Data and Sunrise Young Europe & US). The reduced basic fee of the mobile subscription corresponds to the value of a tariff upgrade. Sunrise Freedom Europe Data is available at the price of Sunrise Freedom Unlimited for CHF 65.- instead of CHF 75 per month. This corresponds to a saving of CHF 240.- during the minimum term. Sunrise Freedom Europe&US is available at the price of Sunrise Freedom Europe Data for CHF 75.- instead of CHF 130.- per month, resulting in a saving of CHF 1,320. The offer is valid until 13 October 2019.

Get the latest iPhone every 12 months: how Smartphone Upgrade customers can get their hands on the new iPhone

12 months after purchase, Smartphone Upgrade customers can trade in their iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max (with a device plan) for the newest iPhone 11, iPhone 11Pro and iPhone 11Pro Max. To take advantage of the Smartphone Upgrade option, the new iPhone must be (pre)ordered and the former, undamaged iPhone must be traded in at a Sunrise shop. The remaining installments for the previous iPhone are canceled, and from that point on the customer only pays the installments for their new iPhone 11, iPhone 11Pro and iPhone 11Pro Max.

Smartphone Recycling Plan

When Sunrise customers sign up for a device plan, they can choose a duration between 24 months or 30 months. The latest iPhone can be paid for in smaller monthly installments over 30 months (instead of 24) with the Recycling Plan. If the iPhone is returned after 24 months, the customer receives the outstanding six monthly installments free of charge, and they can buy a new device. The returned iPhones are tested, prepared, and sold as used smartphones for further use.

The new Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular) with extra SIM watch

The Apple Watch Series 5 is an additional highlight of this year's Apple Keynote innovations. Customers can use the Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular) to surf and make calls on the Sunrise mobile network, even if their turned on iPhone is not close by. Sunrise offers an extra SIM watch, which lets customers use their iPhone mobile number to make and receive calls with the Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular). All new orders of an Apple Watch Series 5 receive the extra SIM watch free of charge for six months

Preorders for the iPhone 11 (from CHF 799.-), iPhone 11Pro (from CHF 1'195.-) and iPhone 11 Pro Max (from CHF 1'297.-) can be placed starting Friday, September 13 at 14:01 a.m. on the Sunrise website in the 'World of Apple '.
