YUSEN LOGISTICS CO LTD On November 9, Yusen Logistics held an opening ceremony for Binh Duong Logistics Center in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Junichi Kawaue, Consul-General at Consulate-General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Vice Chairman of the Management Board of VSIP; Mr. Keiichi Kadowaki, Chairperson of the Japanese Business Association of Ho Chi Minh City, Yusen Logistics Co.,Ltd.; Kenji Mizushima, President; Lee Check Poh, Chief Regional Officer of South Asia & Oceania Region; Takeshi Kondo, General Director, Yusen Logistics (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. In this ceremony, Kenji Mizushima, President, Yusen Logistis Co., Ltd. said, 'The Binh Duong Logistics Center meets the diverse needs of all customers because it provides easy access to Ho Chi Minh City, the largest commercial city and consumer center in Vietnam. It is also first facility in the world to use our new branding and colors. It will embody our values-Connected, Committed, and Creative (3C's)-to provide high-quality services.'
We use the new logistics facility about 12,000 m2 in size for various logistics services-such as inventory management, distribution processing, and goods inspection. The facility is operated in VSIP1 in the southern part of Binh Duong Province, which connects to the northern part of Ho Chi Minh City. It is well-situated about 18 km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City, about 20 km from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and about 30 km from Cat Lai Port. With the establishment of this new facility, we aim to provide optimized supply chain logistics services with ocean and air freight forwarding service and domestic distribution by strengthening our distribution functions within the southern region of Vietnam, the largest domestic consumer market for which further growth is expected.
