Shao Yong Liu is a businessperson who has been at the head of 5 different companies and currently occupies the position of Chairman at China Air Transport Association, Chairman of China Eastern Airlines Corp. Ltd. and General Manager of China Eastern Air Holding Co. Ltd. Mr. Liu is also on the board of International Air Transport Association and Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits.

He previously occupied the position of Deputy Director at Shanxi Provincial Civil Aviation Administration, Vice President for China General Aviation Corp., Chairman for China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd., President at China Southern Air Holding Co. and Director General-Flight Standard Department at Civil Aviation Administration of China.

Mr. Liu received an MBA from Tsinghua University and an undergraduate degree from Civil Aviation Flight University of China.
