International stocks trading in New York closed higher on Wednesday. The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 1.1% to 162.83. The European index improved 1% to 143.73. The Asian index rose 1.2% to 219.93. The Latin American index rose 0.6% to 187.90. And the emerging-markets index increased 1.5% to 364.92.

BioLineRx Ltd.'s ADRs were up 8.8% after the biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology announced results from a pharmacoeconomic study of its Motixafortide as a potential standard of care in stem cell mobilization. The pharmacoeconomic study showed a significant cost benefit of using Motixafortide in combination with G-CSF as standard-of-care mobilization therapy, the company said.

ADRs of SAP SE rose 5.2% on Wednesday after the company said its cloud business continued to grow in the last quarter, prompting the business-software giant to raise targets for the third time this year.

Posco's ADRs rose 2.3% after the South Korean steelmaker projected its third-quarter operating profit to jump nearly five-fold from the same period a year earlier, beating street views.
