In her new position, Trindade will be responsible for business process reviews along with developing and implementing processes that improve GEICO's quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

Trindade started at GEICO in 1997 in sales and transferred to service a year later where she became a sales manager in 2001. She was named a sales director in 2004.

Applying her experience in both areas, Trindade became a sales and service director in 2006 and then moved to the competitive advantage group. Demonstrating her dedication to innovation, she championed a project to improve GEICO's sales process.

Furthering her education while working full-time, Trindade earned a master's in business administration from Southeastern University in 2008. Shortly after, she completed GEICO's executive program before being elected as the assistance vice president of underwriting.

Gary McKenzie, the assistant vice president of GEICO's Indianapolis office, will take on the responsibility for underwriting in Fredericksburg, succeeding Trindade. McKenzie began his career at GEICO in 2004 in San Diego. After serving in a number of positions in claims, sales and service, he was chosen to open the new Indianapolis office in March 2013. McKenzie received a bachelor’s degree from California State University and a master’s of business administration from Mississippi State University.
