Haleon 1H Seems Solid, Zantac's Litigation Might Push Investors Away

0743 GMT - Haleon 1H earnings showed solid results and despite pre-resealed sales, the most significant news were the full-year guidance reiteration, RBC Capital Markets analysts James Edwardes Jones and Emma Letheren say in a research note as shares rise 1.5% at 263.25 pence. However, the update on Zantac's litigation, where Haleon rejected indemnification claims, could be driving share price, they add. The potential litigation liability, along with the disposal of Pfizer's and GSK's 32% and 5.4% shareholdings is likely to hit investors confidence, they add. RBC has a neutral recommendation on the stock and a price target of 300 pence.(michael.susin@wsj.com)

Market Talk:

TUI's Pre-Close Update Moves Investor's Focus to FY 2023

0724 GMT - TUI's pre-close trading updated shows a modest improvement from the third quarter but gives low visibility into the winter season, Citi analyst Leo Carrington says in a note. The travel operator's late booking trends for winter--with bookings only at 78% of 2019's levels--highlight the risk of the same happening in summer 2023, with the resulting cashflow dynamics, Carrington says." The unchanged fiscal 2022 qualitative guidance says little, but likely moves investors' focus to fiscal 2023," he says. Citi rates the stock sell/high risk and has a 122 pence target price.
