Health-care companies rose slightly as traders sought out sectors that would benefit from inflationary conditions.

Moderna's leader said it's possible the company would be able to start shipping its Covid 19 vaccine for use in young children as soon as early June, pending a decision by U.S. regulators.

Some low-income parents who rely on the federal Women, Infants and Children program said that shortages of approved baby formula have left them paying hundreds of dollars to purchase formula outside the program, while they navigate a patchwork of changes made to the WIC program in recent months in response to shortages, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Canopy Growth agreed to acquire control of California-based vape-technology concern Lemurian, on condition that marijuana is legalized at the federal level.
