Mercedes-Benz reports solid half-year results, buoyed by sales of premium cars and increased profits in its van division. The German automaker has raised its profit forecasts for the year, although it admits to keeping a close eye on the macroeconomic environment. Among other things, it deplores the absence of a Chinese rebound, but hopes that government measures will stimulate the automotive sector.
