National Philanthropic Trust (NPT), the largest national independent donor-advised fund sponsor and one of the leading grantmaking institutions in the U.S., is pleased to announce the appointment of three new board members.

“Joram Borenstein, Linda Myers, and Eric Reeves are leaders in their respective industries,” said Eileen Heisman, CEO of National Philanthropic Trust. “The nominating committee conducted a detailed search to identify individuals whose character and experience would further strengthen our board’s depth of talent. Joram, Linda, and Eric’s combined expertise in cybersecurity, international law, and private capital will be valuable as NPT grows into its next quarter-century.”

Joram Borenstein (CISSP, CISA), is the General Manager of Microsoft’s Cybersecurity Solutions Group. Previously, he was VP of Partners and Marketing for NICE Actimize, the world’s leading provider of financial crime and compliance solutions. Borenstein has been quoted in the media on topics such as cybersecurity, consumer identity protection, risk management, and compliance. He is currently a Board Advisor to Element and to Kognos and was also previously a Board Advisor to Conjur (acquired by CyberArk).

Linda Myers is a corporate partner at international law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP where she served on the firm’s Global Executive Management Committee from 2010 to 2020. Myers has promoted diversity and inclusion throughout her career and currently serves on the board of The Chicago Network, a preeminent organization of Chicago’s leading professional women. Myers also enthusiastically supports professional, educational, civic, and cultural organizations. She serves on the boards and has done pro bono legal work for the Lyric Opera of Chicago and The Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
