Retail trade turnover lower at both the monthly and the annual level
In October 2020, volume turnover in retail trade decreased by 1.4% compared to September 2020. Decline in volume turnover in retail trade was recorded for the third consecutive month. Turnover in retail trade in specialized stores except motor fuels increased by 0.1%, while in retail trade with automotive fuel it decreased by 6.3% compared to the previous month. Turnover increased by 2.9% in retail trade with food and decreased by 0.4% in retail trade with non-food products. Compared to October 2019, volume turnover in retail trade decreased by 11.1%. The decrease at the annual level was again due to lower turnover in specialized stores with automotive fuel (by 32.5%). Turnover in retail trade except automotive fuel increased by 0.9%; in retail trade with food products it increased by 0.8% and in retail trade with non-food products by 1.4%. In the first ten months of this year volume turnover in retail trade decreased by 8.9% over the same period of the previous year. In this period, it fell the most in specialized stores with automotive fuel (by 23.3%).

Turnover from the sale of motor vehicles lower at the monthly and the annual level

In October 2020, volume turnover in trade and repair of motor vehicles decreased by 2.8% at the monthly level and 6.1% at the annual level.
