TOKYO, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Japan's consumer prices are expected to rebound as the economy recovers but various uncertainties exist over the outlook, a senior Bank of Japan official said on Friday.

"After one-off factors weighing on prices taper off, consumer prices will likely rebound and gradually accelerate the pace of increase as the economy recovers," Seiichi Shimizu, director-general of the BOJ's monetary affairs department, told parliament.

"But risks to the outlook are skewed to the downside due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic," he said. (Reporting by Leika Kihara Editing by Chang-Ran Kim)
