ADC (NASDAQ: ADCT)(www.adc.com) today announced that leading engineering, design and construction company, Ramboll, has chosen its InterReach Fusion distributed antenna system (DAS) to provide multi-operator, high-performance mobile voice and broadband data services for the company's new headquarters in Ørestad, Denmark. The dual band coverage system – supporting both 2G and 3G services – is being installed by the YIT Group (www.yitgroup.com).

Ramboll decided to invest in a wireless system at the start of the building project as it was important for the company to be in control of its own communications infrastructure. By installing the DAS system at the outset, Ramboll was able to negotiate better deals and has future-proofed its system independently of any operators. An upgrade to LTE is already planned.

The deployment provides an open platform for four operators. One has already agreed to be a service provider for the building and the others are yet to be determined.

?This is the first enterprise wireless in-building deployment in the region, and we're delighted to be able to share ADC's expertise in tackling coverage issues,? said John Spindler, vice president of product management for ADC's Network Solutions Business Unit. ?Both voice and data usage will be critical to Ramboll's business success, so it makes sense that the company is taking the initiative to control its communications infrastructure to coincide with its expansion and move to new, purpose-built premises.?

Strong international growth and fierce competition for the best employees means Ramboll is leaving its current home north of Copenhagen to relocate in a new purpose-built facility set to house 1,300 engineers and other Ramboll employees. At 40,000 square metres, the billion Krone project – designed by architects Dissing & Weitling – is expected to be one of the largest owner-occupied Danish buildings in recent years. Ramboll will use approximately 32,000 square metres with the remaining area being leased to other organizations.

?The Ramboll development is a very exciting project for the region, and the communications infrastructure is a key part of this,? noted Spindler. ?With ADC's solution, coverage at the 1800MHz and 2100MHz frequencies is optimized so all staff and visitors can be sure of reliable service wherever they are in the building.?
