ASTARTA Holding N.V. Reports Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 30, 2021

ASTARTA Holding N.V. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was UAH 4,762.75 million compared to UAH 3,818.17 million a year ago. Net income was UAH 402.97 million compared to net loss of UAH 385.09 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was UAH 16.58 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of UAH 15.84 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was UAH 9,820.3 million compared to UAH 8,712.24 million a year ago. Net income was UAH 3,379.16 million compared to net loss of UAH 140.94 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was UAH 139.01 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of UAH 5.8 a year ago.
Astarta Holding PLC is a Cyprus-based agriculture company, that specializes in sugar production, grain and oilseeds growing, soybean processing and cattle farming. The farmlands, sugar plants and cattle operations are mainly located in Ukraine. The Company's activities are divided into four main segments: Sugar Production, Agriculture, Soybean Processing, and Cattle Farming. Its Sugar Production segment is engaged in the production and wholesale of white and raw sugar and its by-products. The Agriculture segment is responsible for the cultivation and sale of crops, such as corn, wheat, sunseeds, rapeseeds, and others. The Soybean Processing segment is engaged in soybean and soybean meal and oil production and sale. The Cattle Farming Segment is engaged in dairy cattle raising and milk production and sale. Other Group operations mainly comprise the production and sales of fodder and gas.
