BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) _ Banco Macro SA (BMA) on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $35.2 million.

The Buenos Aires, Argentina-based bank said it had earnings of 52 cents per share.

The financial holding company posted revenue of $917.5 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $552.7 million, which beat Street forecasts.

Banco Macro shares have increased 2.5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $14.37, a decrease of 15% in the last 12 months.
