UPDATE ON THE EMPLOYEES' CASE

This announcement is made by the Board pursuant to Rules 13.09(2) of the Listing Rules and the inside information provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong)

Reference is made to the announcement of the Company dated 1 September 2019 in relation to, inter alia, the Incident and the Case, and the announcement of the Company dated 4 September 2019 in relation to the establishment of the Independent Investigation Committee (the "Announcements"). Unless the context otherwise requires, the capitalized terms used herein shall have the same meanings as defined in the Announcements.

The Board wishes to inform the Shareholders and potential investors of the Company of the development of the Case below.

As advised by the PRC Legal Advisers, the trial of the Case (the "Trial") had commenced on 10 December 2019 and the Trial was completed on 11 December 2019. As advised by the PRC Legal Advisers, the relevant PRC court had not indicated when the judgment of the Case will be handed down.

The Company will keep the Shareholders and potential investors informed of any material development in connection with the Case and the Incident as and when appropriate.

The Company will make further announcement(s) as and when appropriate pursuant to the requirements under the Listing Rules.
