Bull and Gras Savoye sign strategic partnership agreement to prevent, manage and insure cyber-risks

Paris, November  12, 2014 -

Bull and Gras Savoye, leaders in cyber-security and insurance, are joining forces to provide businesses with a common response to cyber-risks. The solution combines services, cyber-security solutions and an insurance package involving Risk Consulting and Mediation.

Against a backdrop of increasing theft of customer data and ever tougher regulatory obligations to protect that information, companies must anticipate and protect against risks that can have serious consequences for their business activities and lead to very costly damage in terms of corporate image, remediation and financial penalties.

By 2015, EU data protection legislation will force companies to rethink their information systems security policies. They will be required to report any cyber-attack and to set up information processes within 24 hours. Article 22 of the military programming law in France also states that ANSSI (the National Information Systems Security Agency) may require operators of Vital Importance to put in place security measures and controls to protect their most critical information systems.

Taking a holistic and tailored approach, Bull and Gras Savoye can bring together their complementary expertise to carry out a comprehensive risk analysis on information systems protection and help customers define their strategies for prevention and protection and the transfer of insurable risks. The solution also provides for the implementation of additional safeguards and the management of any claims.

The solution is aimed initially at the French market, and the offering will gradually be adapted by both partners to the needs of a wider market.

Gilles Bénéplanc, Managing Director, France at Gras Savoye commented: "This product is a major innovation in the coverage of a key risk for companies".

Philippe Duluc, Vice President of the Security Division at Bull, an Atos company said:

"As an expert in end-to-end security, the solution that Bull is delivering to Gras Savoye will meet companies' growing needs when it comes to protecting their digital data. This partnership with Gras Savoye, a leading insurance company, confirms the market demand for integrated security solutions."
