Carnarvon Energy Limited ('Carnarvon') (ASX: CVN) is pleased to advise that Mr Gavan Sproule, Carnarvon's General Counsel, will replace Mr Thomson Naude as Joint Company Secretary.

The change is intended to allow Mr Naude to focus on sanctioning the transformative Dorado project, including financing activities, as well as wider strategic priorities during this exciting growth period for the business.

The change takes effect from the date of this announcement. Mr Alex Doering, Carnarvon's Financial Controller, will continue as Joint Company Secretary in conjunction with Mr Sproule. Mr Sproule has nearly 20 years of legal and governance experience, having previously worked in-house for Shell, KUFPEC and Tap Oil Limited, and in private practice.

He is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. For the purposes of Listing Rule 12.6 each of Mr Sproule and Mr Doering is the person nominated for communication with the ASX in relation to listing rule matters.

Carnarvon Managing Director and CEO, Mr Adrian Cook, said: 'On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Thomson for his expertise and guidance as Company Secretary over many years. I would add that this change has been planned for some time and ensures a smooth transition of this role. It importantly enables Thomson to focus on the company's activities for Dorado, as well as wider strategic priorities during this exciting growth period for the business. Gavan commenced as Carnarvon's General Counsel in June 2021 and has already proved himself a valuable member of the team. Gavan has been supporting Thomson and Alex as part of the Company Secretary function since joining Carnarvon, ensuring a seamless transfer of responsibilities.'
