APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

China Solar Energy Holdings Limited (Provisional Liquidators Appointed) (the "Company") announced that Mr. Zhou Wei ("Mr. Zhou") has been appointed as an executive director of the Company to assist the Provisional Liquidators with effect from 18 March 2019.

The biography of Mr. Zhou is as follows:

Mr. Zhou, aged 57, has over 10 years' experience in the solar industry.

He was the director of Nanjing Teneng Environmental Technology Co. Ltd (یԯतঐᐑڭ߅ ҦϞࠢʮ̡) from 2014 to 2018 and Nanjing Jieneng Investment Consultancy Co. Ltd (یԯ௫ ঐҳ༟ፔ༔Ϟࠢʮ̡) from 2014 to 2018, which are principally engaged in renewable energy investment consultant business, with particular emphasis in the natural gas and photovoltaic power generation projects.

Mr. Zhou graduated from PLA Zhengzhou Institute of Electronic Technology in the Henan Province in 1981.

As at the date of this announcement, there is no service contract entered into between the Company and Mr. Zhou. The remuneration of Mr. Zhou will be determined by the Provisional Liquidators with reference to prevailing market conditions and his respective roles and responsibilities within the Company. Mr. Zhou does not have a fixed term of service but will be subject to retirement by rotation and re-election at annual general meetings of the Company in accordance with the Memorandum of Association and Bye-laws of the Company.

Save as disclosed above, Mr. Zhou does not have any interest in the Shares or underlying Shares in the Company within the meaning of Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap. 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong), does not hold any directorship in other listed companies in Hong Kong or overseas in the past three years or any other major appointments or qualifications, does not hold any other positions within the Company or the Group and does not have any relationship with any Directors, senior management, or substantial or controlling shareholders of the Company as at the date of this announcement.

Save as disclosed above, there is no further information to be disclosed by the Company pursuant to the requirements of Rules 13.51(2)(h) to (v) of the Listing Rules and there are no other matters relating to the appointment of Mr. Zhou that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.

CHANGE OF PRINCIPAL PLACE OF BUSINESS

The principal place of business of the Company has been changed to 22/F, CITIC Tower, 1

Tim Mei Avenue, Central, Hong Kong with effect from 22 February 2019.

CONTINUED SUSPENSION OF TRADING

At the request of the Company, trading in the Shares on the Stock Exchange was suspended with effect from 1:00 p.m. on 16 August 2013 and will remain suspended until further notice.

Shareholders and potential investors of the Company are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Shares.
