Citic Securities' : Nine-Month Net Profit Rose 20%

Citic Securities Co. said its nine-month net profit rose 20% from a year earlier, partly helped by stronger income from fees and commissions.

Net profit grew to 12.66 billion yuan ($1.88 billion), while operating income expanded 28% from a year ago to CNY41.99 billion, the Chinese brokerage and investment bank said Thursday.

Income from fees and commissions jumped 43% on year to CNY18.84 billion for the period, mainly helped by stronger contributions from its securities brokerage business, the company said.
