Smith has been appointed President, Sales and Marketing, effective April 24, 2007. Mr. Smith brings more than two decades of sales and marketing experience and will be responsible for ModusLink's global sales and marketing organization.

Mr. Smith's career includes more than 20 years with IBM Corporation where he served in senior sales and management positions including Vice President and General Manager, Personal Computing Division, Americas, as Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Networking Hardware Division, and as Vice President, Americas, eBusiness Solutions. Most recently, Mr. Smith served as President, Americas for Lenovo Group, after its acquisition of IBM's personal computer business.
