Co-Tech Copper Foil Corporation announces sales results for the month, quarter and year ended December 2012. The company reported its December sales of 2012 amounted to TWD 356 million, grew over 17% compared to the same period last year, and a 8.4% decline compared to the previous month.

The accumulated sales for the fourth quarter was TWD 1.16 billion, which was a 5% decline compared to the previous quarter, and a 13.8% growth compared to the same period in 2011.

The total accumulated sales in 2012 amounted to TWD 4.7 billion. As a result of a partial breakthrough of PCB, the downstream Notebook computers customers were able to partial apply thinner copper foil which led to a lower average price compared to the previous year. Therefore, Co-Tech experienced a 1.1% declined in sales on a year-on-year basis despite of its shipment growth.

Copper foil demand is closely related to global economy, Co-Tech expects sales to grow with a better 2013 economy.
