TAIPEI, March 13, 2024- CTCI Beijing, a subsidiary of CTCI Group, won the SABIC Fujian Petrochemical HDPE Bi-Modal EPC contract as a veteran in oil refining and petrochemical engineering. The contract signing and groundbreaking ceremony was held in February 2024. The completion of the project is scheduled by the end of 2026, making it the world's top class sustainable petrochemical industrial base. It will annually produce 400,000 tons of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), meeting the growing demand for high-end chemical products in the market.
The project is part of the SABIC Fujian Petrochemical Complex (Sino-Saudi Gulei Ethylene Complex Project), located in the Gulei Petrochemical Industry Park in Fujian Province, China. The SABIC Fujian Petrochemical Complex stands as the largest single investment joint venture project with foreign investment in Fujian Province to date, serving as a landmark project promoting the Belt and Road initiative and Saudi Arabia's implementation of its Saudi Vision 2030.
The project owner, SABIC Fujian Petrochemical Co., Ltd., is a joint venture between SABIC and Fujian Energy and Petrochemical Group Co. Ltd. "This project adopts SABIC's patented technology in the production process, enabling the production of high-end, environmentally friendly HDPE Bimodal products. In addition, by integrating CTCI's green engineering technology, this project excels in energy efficiency and in aspects such as wastewater, waste gas, solid waste, and carbon emissions, contributing significantly to the advancement and upgrading of the petrochemical industry.
