In my obviously biased opinion, this month, we held the single best virtual trade show experience of the past two years, DattoCon NOW. Would we have preferred to be in person, sharing knowledge, laughs, great times, and celebrating at the epic Elements Party to wrap up the week? Of course. It simply wasn't in the works for us this year. But what we were able to accomplish for the MSP community was nothing short of fantastic.

Datto's first (and hopefully last) all virtual experience was unlike any other industry event I have participated in over the past 20 months. It was almost like a sports broadcast, with everyone's favorites, Senior Channel Development Manager Micheal DePalma and Channel Development Manager Desraie Thomas, running a pregame show, in-game sideline reporting, and a post-game wrap-up. This felt like no other event I've ever been a part of. With more than 6,000 MSPs from 70 different countries expressing interest in learning more about what Datto has been up to, DattoCon NOW was the single largest virtual event in the history of the channel.

The event's theme was simple: MSPs are in the security business, which means Datto is in the security business. This event further ingrained that Datto is with you on your cyber resilience journey. You have protected your client's networks and data throughout the years and recently helped them adapt to a work from anywhere business model. YOU have consistently come to your client's rescue, and Datto was with you all along the way.

It would not be a Datto event without some major announcements. We have been working hard to strengthen the protection of your client's digital assets and bolster your cyber resiliency efforts. Two key announcements do exactly that; the unveiling of Datto SaaS Defense and Datto Continuity for Microsoft Azure. Two key solutions, designed to provide protection while increasing our Partner's margins.

Datto SaaS Defense, an advanced cyber threat protection solution, allows our Partners to proactively detect and prevent malicious malware, phishing, and BEC attacks that target Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Sharepoint, and Teams. This security solution seamlessly integrates with Datto SaaS Protection, a backup of SaaS applications, putting you in control of all aspects of your client's data, regardless of where that data lives.

Datto Continuity for Microsoft Azure (DCMA) ensures that client workloads in Azure are protected and easily recoverable in the event of any unplanned downtime or outages. DCMA is specifically designed to meet the needs of MSPs, giving you the ability to provide a complete BCDR solution for your clients on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. This new untapped market is ripe for MSPs to, once again, come to the rescue for organizations of all sizes the same way you have been throughout this pandemic.

In classic Datto fashion, this value-packed event was complete with some of the hardest presentations to pull off, the live technical demo. Datto has become known for showcasing our technologies live, on stage, in front of thousands, and DattoCon NOW did not disappoint. However, showcasing this new technology was not what stole the spotlight. No, it wasn't CEO Tim Weller's always exciting keynote, or SVP, Business Development Rob Rae MC'ing the event and keeping it lively and entertaining; it was from none other than the best CISO in the Channel, Ryan Weeks. Ryan and his team have worked incredibly hard at fortifying the Datto stack and providing the tools and talking points teaching our Partners how to build their own cyber resilience strategy to further position themselves as security experts. The threat of cyber attacks is never-ending, and we are making significant investments to ensure we will always be right there with you, fighting the good fight.

For those Datto Partners who could not make it, you can find recordings of every keynote, demo, and breakout session inside your Datto Portal. For those of you who are soon to be Datto Partners, we welcome you with open arms and will gladly give you access to all of this wonderful content, sales tools, marketing content, reports, and more. To request access to the Datto Portal, simply reach out to us at partners@datto.com, and we will get you all squared away.

Finally, I speak for all of us at Datto and specifically those on the Business Development Team; we miss seeing you in person. We thank you for staying with us on this journey, and we look forward to keeping this momentum going into 2022.
