Fairfax Media : Dispatch of Domain separation documents

Fairfax Media Limited [ASX:FXJ] ('Fairfax' or 'Company') expects to complete the dispatch to shareholders of the Scheme Booklet relating to the proposed separation of Domain Holdings Australia Pty Ltd ('Domain') from Fairfax (the Separation) later today. The Scheme Booklet also contains the Notice of 2017 Annual General Meeting of Fairfax.

The Fairfax Board of Directors unanimously recommend that Fairfax shareholders vote in favour of the resolutions required to effect the Separation at the shareholder meetings that have been convened to consider those resolutions. The independent expert, Grant Samuel & Associates Pty Limited, has concluded that the Separation is in the best interests of Fairfax shareholders.

The Scheme Meeting and Annual General Meeting will be held at the Pitt Street Room, Ground Floor, Domain Offices, 55 Pyrmont Street, Pyrmont NSW 2009 commencing at 10.00am (Sydney time) on 2 November 2017.

The Scheme Meeting Proxy Form and the Annual General Meeting Proxy Form are attached to this release.

Fairfax shareholders should carefully read the Scheme Booklet in its entirety before making a decision as to how to vote on the resolutions to be considered at the Scheme Meeting and the Annual General Meeting.
