To date, FGV owns a total of 89 school buses.

Azman Ahmad, FGV's Officer-In-Charge and Group Divisional Director of Logistics and Support Businesses Sector said, the school bus facility is one of the company's social responsibilities to ensure the safety of employees' children, as well as to assist in reducing the cost of living.

'FGV is always concerned with the needs and welfare of our employees. Since 1992, providing school buses has been part of our continued commitment to respect and strengthen the rights of employees with families. FGV also prioritises safety and intends to reduce the children's exposure to various travel risks.'

'By providing the new school buses, risks such as accidents and unwanted incidents can be decreased as the vehicles are functioning optimally, and travel is more controlled with regular schedules. This allows our employees to fully focus on their work at the office or plantation, without worrying about the safety of their children,' he added.

'The monthly school transportation cost for employees' children ranges from RM30 to RM60 per person in rural areas, depending on the distance between the school and their residence. For employees with a large number of children, the school bus service will help to lighten their financial burden,' explained Azman Ahmad.

FGV's new school buses have a wide range of passenger capacity, ranging from 10 to 44 people. All FGV school buses meet the specifications and safety features set by the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) and the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP).
