Galenica supports the Confederation's COVID-19 testing strategy and is aware of its leading role in the procurement and distribution of self-tests to pharmacies.
Following the Federal Council's announcement on 27 March 2021, Galenica immediately ordered the 'Roche Sars-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test Nasal' self-tests approved by Swissmedic, which it will dispense in its more than 360 Amavita, Sun Store and Coop Vitality pharmacies across Switzerland.
As high demand is to be expected, only five self-tests will be given out per person upon presentation of a health insurance card in this first phase. This falls in line with the decision of the Swiss government.
Reservations will not be accepted and no waiting lists will be maintained. The self-tests will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. Nevertheless, it is also possible to obtain the self-tests for other people, provided that their health insurance card can be presented.

To begin with, the self-tests will only be able to be obtained in person in pharmacies. Customers will be notified of this in the online shop.

Preparations underway for COVID-19 vaccinations in the pharmacies
In parallel to this, the preparations for the COVID-19 vaccinations are continuing at an intensive pace. Approximately 220 pharmacies belonging to the Galenica Group will be able to offer this service. We still do not know when the cantons will supply the pharmacies with the vaccines.
