Biological treatment is a delicate process that allows oxygen-fed microorganisms to digest the so-called "activated" sludge. The flow rate of the water entering the tanks and the levels of injected CO2 needs to be regulated with the greatest precision in order to keep the ecosystem alive.

Our Automation & Control engineers carried out a cascade control on the 4 biological tanks to control:

· 4 suppressors · 16 air injection valves · 4 water inlet valves

This automated system has also been integrated into the touch screen interface and the plant's monitoring system. It gives the operator an overall view of the process, which he can control manually during maintenance, and it notifies him in the event of a fault. Our services also included the electrical diagram and commissioning.

The client has now a user-friendly interface and a solution to facilitate future maintenance.
