IMPLENIA AG New subway line goes into operation
'Lückenschluss U5', has been successfully completed. The 2.2 km long line forms the long awaited connection of the U5 between the Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz, where it will be merged with the existing U55 line. To close the gap, Implenia constructed two parallel tubes, each 1.7 km long, a track changing facility and the shell of the Unter den Linden and Museumsinsel stations. With this project, we are contributing to the attractiveness and sustainable design of mobility in the capital.
