Intron Technology Subsidiary G-Pulse Launches Hybrid Platform for Dual Electric Controlled Motor Controller Shows Hard Core Technological and Product Capability 2022.12.15

(15 December 2022, Hong Kong) - Intron Technology Holdings Limited ("Intron Technology" or the "Group"; HKEX: 1760), a fast-growing automotive electronics solutions provider in China, has announced that G-Pulse, its wholly-owned subsidiary, has recently launched a hybrid platform for dual electric controlled motor controller. The product boasts a comprehensive functional configuration, enhanced reliability and adaptability, as well as better performance and reasonable cost, thus has drawn much market and customer attention.

The dual electric controlled motor controller is compatible with various hybrid vehicle series such as HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) and PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) models. With two motor control functions in one control unit, the product affords real-time control of energy distribution and power output of vehicles. It is compatible with different power level of silicon (Si) and silicon carbide (SiC) modules, accommodating electric current between 600A to 900A and 400V/800V system. With layered bus capacitor, high-voltage filter and driver module setup, it comes in the smallest possible size, yet has better heat dissipation efficiency. Moreover, its low-voltage interface adopts a separate shielded room design to reduce and block internal noise and improve the performance and anti-interference ability of EMC (electromagnetic compatibility).

‧ Full toolchain development, multi-core architecture design
‧ Multiple control modes (rotational speed, torque and voltage)
‧ Compatible with Si/SiC and supports 400V/800V platforms
‧ Rated power 100kW, peak power up to 260kW, expandable based on demand
‧ Can be expanded and integrated with modules such as P-gear controller and oil pump controller
‧ Supports functions such as junction temperature estimation, soft decoding, harmonic suppression, OTA, rollback, ASC, etc.
‧ Automotive grade design, functional safety ASIL C level, EMC Class 3

Being a core product line of G-Pulse, MCU (motor control unit) enjoys leadership and blazes the industry development trail in terms of power density, integration, system efficiency, safety and intellectualization. In its fourth generation, the MCU product platform offers solutions that support new products and new technology applications such as all-in-one integrated electric drives, 800V voltage platforms and SiC power devices. Those solutions can also be customized full-stack for customers to meet their specific needs.

Hybrid vehicles have huge room for growth in the long run. Issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Technology Roadmap for Energy Saving and New Energy Vehicles 2.0 clearly states the timelines and targets of full hybridization of road vehicles, with hybrid passenger vehicles to make up more than 50% of traditional road vehicle sales by 2025, more than 75% by 2030 and accounting for all by 2035.

Mr. Sam Qin, Deputy General Manager of G-Pulse, said, "This dual electric controlled motor controller is a fourth-generation platform-based product that caters to hybrid vehicles. It is highly scalable, compatible with mainstream software and hardware systems/modules in the market and capable of precise control of direct drive and kinetic energy recovery systems for optimum work efficiency. On top of boasting economic, power, convenience and intelligence advantages, hybrid vehicles can also better meet the needs of Chinese consumers in actual driving scenarios. Looking ahead, we will keep perfecting our platform product series in the hybrid realm, leverage the Group's industrial service platform to quickly enter and penetrate the market, continue to pass on value to and empower innovation and development of the industry."
