IOI CORPORATION IOI Corporation Berhad (IOIC) and IOI Properties Group Berhad (IOIPG), hosted a group of distinguished guests from the Fujian Province, People's Republic of China to our headquarters in IOI Resort City, Putrajaya on 12 May 2023.
The 30-member delegation was led by the Secretary of Fujian Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial People's Congress, His Excellency (HE) Zhou Zuyi, with an interest in strengthening diplomatic ties and promoting strategic cooperation between Fujian and Malaysia. The Fujian delegation was also on a mission to promote trade and tourism opportunities in Fujian through its "Refreshing Fujian" campaign.
Welcomed by IOIC Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Dato' Lee Yeow Chor, HE Zhou Zuyi expressed his gratitude to IOI for its economic-spurring investments in Xiamen and philanthropic contributions to support the community developments in Xiamen. Our property development projects in Xiamen include IOI Park Bay and the mega-scale urban mixed-use development IOI Palm City in Jimei, as well as IOI Palm International Parkhouse in Xiang'an. As a leading plantation company and also a reputable township developer in Malaysia, we were honoured to set foot in Xiamen and will continue to deepening the friendship with the Fujian government.
Also in attendance were IOIPG Executive Vice Chairman Mr Lee Yeow Seng and senior management team of the two companies.
