NEWS RELEASE INTERNATIONAL WATER-GUARD INDUSTRIES INC. RECEIVES PROVISIONS STC

FOR UV WATER STERILIZATION SYSTEM FOR BOEING 737 FAMILY OF AIRCRAFT

March 31, 2016

Burnaby, BC, Canada - IWG Technologies Inc. (TSX-V: IWG) ("the Company" or "IWG") reported today that its subsidiary company, International Water-Guard Industries Inc. (IWG-I) has received a provisions-only Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from Transport Canada for the installation of a new upload Ultra Violet (UV) Water Sterilization system for the Boeing 737-600/700/800 family of aircraft.

An STC is the regulatory approval allowing a modification to an aircraft's existing type design in order to install systems, like IWG-I's UV Water Sterilization products, while maintaining airworthiness certification. While the subsidiary company holds a number of Transport Canada and FAA STCs for its business aviation products, this is the first one that that company has specifically targeted to meet the needs of the commercial airline industry.

Darryl Jacobs, Executive Vice President of IWG Technologies, stated "IWG-I has been providing UV Water Sterilization technology to the world's best Business Aviation Aircraft for more than 30 years and we think we have the right solution for the commercial aviation marketplace at the right time."

IWG-I is also pleased to be showcasing its airline and business aircraft offerings on two continents at once. From April 5-7, 2016, IWG-I will be attending the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO Americas) show in Dallas and exhibiting at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany. IWG will meet with aircraft operators, completion centers, airlines, and maintenance centers from all over the world who are interested in IWG-I's powerful potable water solutions.

"The adoption of our UV sterilization technology will provide airlines with an easy-to-install system that offers a better flight experience for passengers along with improved water safety and operational efficiency" said Steven Bis, General Manager and Senior Vice President of International Water-Guard Industries, Inc.

IWG Technologies Inc. is the public holding company for International Water-Guard Industries Inc., a Canadian aerospace company focused on aircraft potable water treatment, water systems, water heaters and components. IWG has expertise in all aspects of water treatment, heating, pressurization control and storage, has the products and know-how to provide high quality water for passengers and crew, and lightweight, space-saving solutions for the aircraft operator.
