Nature reserve brings Kahoot! out on the trails to learn about local wildlife!

To engage the community in learning more about the ecology of their region, Bystock Nature Reserve in England is inviting everyone to a Kahoot! challenge

Bystock Pools Nature Reserve, one of Devon Wildlife Trust's most popular reserves located in Devon, England, is bringing learning to life in a brand new way with Kahoot!
To help learners grow their knowledge of local flora and fauna while experiencing the great outdoors, Bystock is inviting adventurers of all ages to walk a self-guided trail around the reserve while playing a Kahoot! challenge. Participants will be able to test their wildlife knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of their region's ecology through experiential and interactive learning.

I'm a bit pleased with this trail. As far as I know, no-one has done anything like it before. This blends technology with looking for wildlife in an interactive quiz, while also providing a physical trail to follow too (backup in case reception suddenly dips). https://t.co/0bDQjtnmBqpic.twitter.com/3xOr3Hcm9f

To complete the challenge, players can launch the kahoot and walk through a series of signposts along the trail, answering each question on their devices as they discover what lives and grows in the surrounding landscape.

This activity offers a unique experience blending the digital, interactive play of Kahoot! with place-based learning among one of England's treasured natural spaces.

The event is part of Heath Week 2021, celebrating the ecology, history and cultural significance of the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths.

Click on the link to take part in the online self-guided trail around @DevonWildlife Bystock this week. The idea is that you walk to each post and look around to find the answers. Some questions would be a challenge, but you could try it at home first! https://t.co/RIOlP0c800
