Kirkland's, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended July 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 102.1 million compared to USD 114.79 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 25.71 million compared to net income of USD 0.626 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 2.02 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.04 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was USD 2.02 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.04 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was USD 205.39 million compared to USD 238.36 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 33.56 million compared to net income of USD 2.35 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 2.65 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.16 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was USD 2.65 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.15 a year ago.
