Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended December 31, 2019. For the nine months, the company reported net sales of JPY 604,401 million against JPY 607,820 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 61,887 million against JPY 72,588 million a year ago. Net income per share was JPY 271.22 against JPY 317.34 a year ago. Net income per share (diluted) was JPY 271.13 against JPY 317.24 a year ago. Profit was JPY 46,690 million against JPY 56,236 million a year ago.
The company provided consolidated and non-consolidated earnings guidance for the year ending March 31, 2020. For the year, on consolidated basis, the company expects net sales of JPY 808,000 million, operating income of JPY 84,000 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 59,000 million and net income per share of JPY 367.07.
For the year, on non-consolidated basis, the company expects net sales of JPY 360,000 million, operating income of JPY 28,000 million, net income of JPY 38,000 million and net income per share of JPY 236.42.
KOITO MANUFACTURING CO., LTD. is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of automotive lighting equipment, aircraft parts, railway vehicles parts, electrical equipment and measuring equipment. The Company mainly operates in six segments, including Japan, China, Asia, North America, Europe and Others. The Companyâs major products include light-emitting diode (LED) head lamps, discharge head lamps, headlights, sign lamps, high mount stop lamps, halogen bulbs, miniature bulbs and other lamp fittings, control equipment for rail vehicles, roads traffic signals, traffic control systems, roads and tunnels illumination lamps, facilities illumination lamps, accommodation equipment, aircraft parts, electronic parts, head lamps cleaners, sheets for aircraft and rail vehicles, as well as environment control equipment. The Company is also engaged in the development and manufacture of forward monitoring operation support systems for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) through subsidiary.
