The 27th Central Asian International exhibition 'Mining and Metals Central Asia - 2022' opens today in Kazakhstan's largest city, Almaty. PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works presents a wide range of its steel products including the MAGSTRONG range of high-strength and wear-resistant steels.
Participants of the forum, which aims to showcase the achievements of international and Kazakh producers of materials, machinery, services, and other equipment for the metals and mining industry, will have the opportunity to learn about MMK's high-strength steels which are used to manufacture and repair construction, mining, and other specialized equipment, create loaded steel structures, as well as to produce rock processing, mine tunnelling, and other high-tech equipment. MMK's high-strength steels improve quality and reduce weight of products, in addition to significant economic and environmental benefits: greenhouse gas emissions are reduced on average by 30% over the product's life cycle compared to ordinary steel grades.
Mechanical properties of MAGSTRONG steels provide high resistance to abrasion and impact as well as good weldability and workability, allowing for longer product life. Today, consumers can receive complex solutions from Mekhanoremontny Kompleks LLC and OJSC MMK-Metiz, who process rolled metal produces and supply welding materials for MAGSTRONG products with recommendations for welding parameters. This ensures that customer demand for these steels is constantly growing. In 2021, shipments to engineering companies in Russia and the EAEU grew by 43% compared to the previous year, 573 companies used MAGSTRONG rolled steel products last year, compared to 486 in 2020.
The 27th 'Mining and Metals Central Asia' exhibition takes place in Almaty on 20-22 September 2022. It is a professional platform for business contacts between manufacturers, suppliers, and specialists from mining companies, mining and processing plants, wholesale trading companies and other industry representatives. More than 250 companies from 22 countries present their achievements at a 9,500 square meter exhibition hall.
