Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works and the MMK Group companies are demonstrating their products and technological capabilities at the 29th Metal Expo International Industrial Exhibition, which opens today in Moscow.

MMK has been a regular participant at this major forum over the years. Visitors to the Company's collaborative stand will have an opportunity to learn about a wide range of metal products, including long and profiled products, hot- and cold-rolled flat products, hot-dip galvanised steel products and polymer-coated rolled steel. MMK products are used in a wide range of applications, from construction and pipe-making to the automotive industry, for which the plant supplies galvanised sheet metal, as well as the machine-building industry, which consumes high-strength and wear-resistant steels.

In addition to executives and specialists from MMK and MMK Trading House, representatives of other MMK Group companies will also be present at MMK's stand, including from MMK-Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant (MMK-LMZ), a leading Russian manufacturer of electrolytically galvanised rolled products with a polymer coating and rolled products with a SteelArt decorative coating. MMK-LMZ plans to unveil more than 20 new SteelArt designs with a textured or 3D coating, including Ash, Cedar, Rowan, Maple, Birch, Cherry and others. A number of MMK products that are well established in both Russian and international markets will also be on display, including samples of rolled products with textured polymer coatings, polyurethane coatings, coatings for the production of drainage systems, as well as antibacterial and anti-graffiti coatings.

Among other MMK Group enterprises, CJSC Magnitogorsk Casting Roller Plant will present a line of sheet and grooved rolls made by centrifugal casting; LLC Ogneupor will showcase its aluminosilicate and magnesia refractories; and LLC Shlakservis will present granular mould flux used when casting steel on continuous casting machines.

In addition, representatives of United Service Company LLC, which provides a wide range of services for the maintenance and repair of various types of equipment, will also be available at the stand. The Magnitogorsk Cement Refractory Plant will be represented at MMK's stand for the first time. The plant specialises in the production of Portland slag cement as well as iron-bearing dolomite (lime-magnesia flux), which is used as a kish-forming material in converter steelmaking.

MMK-METIZ will have its own stand focusing on environmental protection issues. Samples of products, new catalogues and extensive handouts have been prepared for visitors. Specialists from the plant will be available to discuss the production of metalware and newly developed products, as well as to answer visitors' questions.

Mekhanoremontny Kompleks LLC (MRK, part of MMK Group), is one of the largest manufacturers of production equipment for the steelmaking and mining industries in Russia. The plant, which supplies equipment and spare parts for iron and steel companies across the country, is one of the main manufacturers of foundry equipment and devices in Russia and the CIS countries. The company recently began producing a wide range of import-substituting products, creating excellent potential as Western suppliers exit the market. The 29th Metal Expo International Industrial Exhibition will take place from 7 to 10 November 2023 at the Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow. The exhibition will feature a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metal products, state-of-the-art equipment and technologies. The exhibition space will be 50% larger compared with last year and will bring together more than 720 companies, including over 300 international enterprises. Some 30 thousand specialists from key metal-consuming industries are expected to attend. As part of the forum's business programme, more than 50 conferences, seminars and round tables will be held concerning every segment of the metallurgical business.
