MHB Fortifies its Governance Commitment with the Signing of Corruption-Free Pledge

Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad (MHB), a globally trusted energy and marine solutions provider, continues to strengthen its governance commitment with the signing of the Corruption-Free Pledge at a ceremony at its MMHE West yard, Pasir Gudang, Johor on 8 June 2023. This pledge was aimed to further strengthen MHB's commitment to fostering an agile and transparent organisation by including the overall workforce, approximately 4,000 employees.

The pledge reading and signing was led by MHB Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), Encik Pandai Othman and witnessed by the Chief Senior Assistant Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Tuan Ab. Muneim Ibrahim.

The momentous occasion was held in conjunction with the celebration of MHB's 50th anniversary, serving as a significant milestone in its history. It commemorates five decades of growth, innovation, and dedication while maintaining the highest levels of integrity and good governance. Reflecting on the company's achievements, this ceremony reiterated the positive values that have guided MHB throughout these years.

A signatory to the Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP) since 2014, MHB has practised zero tolerance towards corruption and has in place systems and processes that support the Government's anti-corruption agenda. MHB has been working closely with MACC on various initiatives to combat corruption and misconduct in the company where it has also introduced a No Gift Policy, Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, Whistleblowing Policy and Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy and Guidelines.
