Given the increasing global focus on climate change, we're happy today to announce that MTS has been awarded a score of 'management' (B) for its 2020 climate disclosure by CDP, a global non-profit that runs the world's leading environmental disclosure platform. This places us among the top 7 Russian companies disclosing climate data through CDP in 2020, and represents a full letter-grade improvement from our 'awareness' (C) score in 2019.

We're particularly proud that MTS alongside parent-company Sistema were the only two Russian companies to score a level of 'B' or higher outside of resource-intensive industries, such as oil & gas, metals & mining, pulp & forestry, and power generation. This achievement is yet another demonstration of our progress in becoming a regional ESG leader in the TMT sector.

MTS began reporting through CDP in 2019 as part of a broader GSMA initiative to develop a mobile industry climate action roadmap toward net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by mid-century in line with the Paris Agreement. Today, we disclose a wide variety of environmentally relevant data about our operations in Russia - including scope-1, -2, and -3 GHG emissions - to better enable investors to track and assess our climate readiness.

CDP drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests. Over 9,600 companies with over 50% of global market capitalization disclosed environmental data through CDP in 2020. This is in addition to the over 920 cities, states and regions who disclosed in 2019, making CDP's platform one of the richest sources of information globally on how companies and governments are driving environmental change.
