LAS VEGAS - City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States, honored Kevin Campbell, president of Moen Americas, Tom Koos, president and CEO of PrimeSource Brands, and Jeff Lorberbaum, chairman and CEO of Mohawk Industries Inc. with its 2024 Spirit of Life Award.
The prestigious recognition, whose honorees are selected by City of Hope's National Hardware/Homebuilding Industry group, are recognized for their dedication to philanthropy and humanitarian accomplishments. The award was presented at a gala reception at the Palms Resort in Las Vegas, one day before the start of Design & Construction Week at the International Builders' Show.
The Spirit of Life Award is City of Hope's highest honor, bestowed upon leaders in various categories of business, including construction, hardware and homebuilding, music, film and entertainment, fashion and beauty, food, real estate and more. The award presentation launches a year-long philanthropic campaign led by Campbell, Koos and Lorberbaum to benefit City of Hope.
'Moen has been a longtime supporter and advocate of City of Hope due to its dedication to improving the lives of patients and their families all across the country,' said Campbell. 'I am honored to be recognized. Recently, I was asked to join the National Hardware/Homebuilding Industry Executive Council and am eager to take on this role to further expand our commitment to the organization and continue to support its lifesaving mission.'
Campbell is president, Moen Americas, for Moen Incorporated, the No. 1 consumer faucet brand in North America. He joined the company in 1998 and is responsible for leading the development and execution of Moen's North and South American kitchen and bath business strategies. Before assuming his current role, he was vice president and general manager for the Kitchen and Bath Strategic Business Units at Moen.

'Cancer, diabetes and other life-changing conditions touch each of us in some way. We are so grateful to the teams who fight these battles every day, giving patients and their families hope. Koos joined PrimeSource Building Products as president and CEO in April 2018, bringing more than 35 years of global supply, distribution and consumer brand experience to the company. In 2020, he became president and CEO of PrimeSource Brands, which was formed by the consolidation of Wolf Home Products, Dimora Brands and PrimeSource Building Products - whose industry-leading brands include Grip-Rite, Pro-Twist RailFX, Nationwide Industries and many others. PrimeSource Brands provides the building industry's premier customer experience with the highest value products, brands and services.

Lorberbaum's family business, Aladdin Mills, merged with Mohawk Industries in 1994, and he was appointed president of the company the following year. He became CEO in 2001 and broadened Mohawk's strategy to become a comprehensive flooring company, offering both carpet and hard surface flooring products, with a global reach. Today, Mohawk is the world's largest flooring provider with more than 40,000 employees and manufacturing in 19 countries.
The National Hardware/Homebuilding Industry group has supported City of Hope through philanthropy since 1983. Leaders from across the profession come together to search for cures and save lives for patients affected by cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses. The fundraising group has raised more than $185 million to benefit City of Hope over the last four decades. Fittingly, the National Hardware/Homebuilding Industry Legacy Research Center houses laboratory studies in virology and molecular medicine - the building blocks that fuel scientific advances. Support has also enabled research in brain, pediatric, pancreatic, kidney and bladder cancers.

The gala event kicks off a year-long fundraising initiative for City of Hope that includes marquee events, such as the Spirit of Life Golf Outing & Award Reception (Feb. 25 to 26, 2024, in Las Vegas), Annual Ryder Cub at Bighorn (May 4 to 5, 2024, in Palm Desert, California), Lowe's Charity Golf Classic (Aug. 26 to 27, 2024, in Rochester, New York) and City of Hope's Cross Industry Challenge (Sept.3 to 5, 2024, in Pebble Beach, California).
