NCsoft reported earnings results for the second quarter of 2017. The company's second quarter sales totaled KRW 258.6 billion, increasing 8% both quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year. The main driver behind the top line growth is the launch of Lineage M. Operating profit posted KRW 37.6 billion, up 23% versus the previous quarter, but down 56% when compared to the same period last year due to an increase in labor cost and marketing expenses. Pretax income decreased 55% year-on-year to KRW 43.5 billion, with no special items in the non-operating income line. And net income dropped 66% year over year to KRW 30.8 billion.
