Pentanet Limited has successfully launched GeForce NOW, NVIDIA's premiere cloud-based game streaming service, to an eager market of gamers across Australia and New Zealand. The premier cloud based game streaming service is now open for paying subscribers to experience the impressive visuals of real-time ray tracing streamed with RTX ON via GeForce NOW Powered by Pentanet, using a vast variety of hardware options. Pentanet's Beta Play program commenced on 22 September 2021, with over 4.7 million minutes (9 years) played ahead of commercial launch. Over 20,000 Beta Players actively tested the service across more than 174,000 sessions. The Beta Play program was designed to put cloud gaming to the test on Australia's internet infrastructure. The majority of players on the west zone experienced latency of less than 20ms, and the majority of players on the east zone experienced less than 30ms, demonstrating a solid technical outcome of the Beta. Basic memberships will be available for a limited time, allowing players to check out a limited version of the service for free to experience some of the power of real-time game streaming. Basic sessions are limited to an hour and do not support RTX features.
