SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ Pioneer Energy Services Corp. (PESXQ) on Monday reported a loss of $69.1 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the San Antonio-based company said it had a loss of 88 cents. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs and restructuring costs, came to 35 cents per share.

The oil and gas drilling and production company posted revenue of $114.3 million in the period.

The company's shares closed at 3 cents. A year ago, they were trading at 33 cents.
