Pironet NDH AG : begins the second half year with a strong increase in profits from the Cloud business and confirms annual forecast

Cologne, 31 August 2012 - Success to report after six months: Following the restructuring of the Group, Pironet NDH AG posted a profit growth of 45 % in its interim report. The Group increased its earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) to 1.14 million euros in the first half year of 2012 (previous year: 0.79 million euros). The earnings before taxes (EBT) grew by 57 % to 1.5 million euros (previous year: 0.9 million euros). Sales increased slightly from 26.2 million euros to 26.4 million euros. Here, growth in other segments enabled Pironet NDH AG to more than compensate for the influence of one-off effects in the software business from 2011 on the current fiscal year. Above all the Cloud Computing services which the company offers business customers proved to be a growth engine. For 2012 the Group confirmed its forecast of achieving sales exceeding those of the previous year and an EBIT of more than 2 million euros.

Continuous increase in liquid assets
Despite paying a dividend of ten 10 cent per share, totalling 1.5 million euros, Pironet NDH was once again able to increase its net liquidity. In the first half of 2012 these rose by 15.3 %  to 18.1 million euros, compared to 15.7 million euros at the end of the previous fiscal year.

Strategic expansion of the Cloud Computing business
In Germany, Pironet NDH has for years been regarded as one of the leading Cloud providers for small to medium-sized enterprises. In order to create additional growth opportunities, the company wishes to broaden its base in this market. For example, Pironet NDH has recently begun to offer consultancy and integration services: in addition to central services from the Cloud, business customers now also obtain support in planning, setting up and operating local IT and Cloud systems in their own data centres.
In the context of enhancing the respective business activities, the organisational and corporate structures in the ICT Outsourcing segment have been expanded. The new units were able to gain new customers in the first half of the year and are already handling projects which make a positive contribution to the Group's sales and results.

Innovative solution for publishing of the future
Pironet NDH is also working on new solutions and offers in the Content Management segment: with their help companies will in the future be able to make content available considerably more easily and at a considerably lower cost than previously, via a large number of online media, social networks such as Facebook and mobile devices. Technologies such as targeting will help customers to address selected target groups automatically with the appropriate content and messages.

Executive Board confirms forecast for 2012
"In all entrepreneurial decisions and developments in our company the sustainable enhancement of our profitability remains the guiding principle," says Felix Höger, Chief Executive Officer of Pironet NDH AG. Despite uncertainties in the economic situation, Felix Höger is standing by his forecast: "The results of the interim report show we are fully on schedule to achieve our targets over the whole year. For 2012 we therefore anticipate sales exceeding those of the previous year and an EBIT of more than 2 million euros."
