POSCO ICT will launch its RPA solution, A.WORKS 3.0, which greatly enhances user convenience and operationality, and will pursuit two goals, spreading the market through popularization of RPA and targeting the No. 1 spot in the domestic market.

In the case of the domestic RPA market, early foreign solutions have been mainstream as the market began to form with the introduction of the 52hour per week work system, but solutions from domestic companies, including POSCO ICT, have been replacing related markets since last year.

POSCO ICT held "2022 A.WORKS Day" at the InterContinental Seoul COEX Hotel on October 25th and launched A.WORKS 3.0. About 70 officials from partners such as Hana Financial TI, Shinsegae I&C, and Megazone, as well as customers such as Daiso and the Korea Federation of Credit Cooperatives, attended the event, showing a lot of interest in the new features and major application cases of A.WORKS.

The newly released A.WORKS 3.0 has been upgraded in two main aspects. First of all, the remote control function of the operating bot has been added to strengthen the operability, which is becoming more important as RPA spreads. For example, if a problem occurs on a bot PC, the work center can remotely access the bot PC to solve the problem. In addition, it is equipped with its own shape management module to visually check the changes in the work process in progress without a separate solution, so that it can be referred to problem solving in the maintenance stage.

In terms of RPA users, it is characterized by providing a function that enables users to perform other tasks simultaneously while running RPA on one PC without having to have a separate bot-only PC.

In addition, we plan to continuously expand the automation area by implementing Hyperautomation, which combines with various AI solutions such as OCR, Chatbot, and Task Mining, and to this end, POSCO ICT is creating an ecosystem with leading solution companies in each field.

POSCO ICT launched the RPA solution A.WORKS in 2019 and supplies solutions to various fields such as Hana Bank, Shinsegae Department Store, KEPCO, Agricultural and Fishery Distribution Corporation, Credit Union, and Daiso.

On A.WORKS day, Hana Financial Group announced that it has introduced and operated more than 250 bots since the first introduction of RPA in 2019, and that it has saved more than 2.2 million working hours per year. Kangwon National University shared use cases of 33% reduction in working hours and 90% reduction in inquiry calls in tuition payment information processing, and announced that it will continue to expand the use of RPA in the future.

McKinsey, a global consulting firm, predicted that 85% of companies around the world will introduce RPA by 2025. RPA experts predict that the company-wide introduction will be promoted over the next three to four years, focusing on large companies, including the financial sector. Domestic companies that initially introduced RPA are experiencing positive effects and are trying to improve work productivity further by expanding the area subject to RPA.

RPA is a solution that automates tasks handled by humans through software robots. The introduction of solution is becoming more active in that simple and repeatable tasks can be automatically processed with relatively little investment cost in a short period of time without making any significant changes to the existing business system.
