'In 2017 turnover in the tourism and hotel sector accounted for approximately 7% of GDP, or more than 10% including ancillary industries,' said Alessandro Natoli, Business Development & Head of Due Diligence and Urban Planning at Prelios Integra, at RE Italy Convention Days 2018. 'This confirms the importance of the sector and its contribution to the Italian economy. Growing tourist demand for hospitality services in our country creates the need for dynamic activity throughout the entire supply chain and the new FICO Eataly World '4 star plus' hotel to be built in the Agri-Food Centre in Bologna is a step in this direction.

The new development, of which Prelios Integra is Project Manager, will have a complementary function integrated with the park, completing the services offer of the entire center and thus enhancing its potential. The project involves the conversion of a building located about 150 meters from FICO Eataly World, with a surface area of more than 11,000 sq.m. The hotel project is based on total eco-sustainability for the building itself and for the interiors, with 200 rooms, meeting and conference rooms, a breakfast and cafeteria area, reception area and offices, 2 pools, a gym and a spa. Also, to meet the hotel operator's commercial requirements, interior design tests have been carried out to optimize the appeal of the hotel spaces.'
