In 2021, Unipro PJSC power plants generated 45.2 bn kWh, thus increasing this value in comparison with the previous year by 8.4%.

The increase in electricity generation is attributed to the recovery of electricity consumption and export flows after the crisis decline in 2020. Cold winter at the start of 2021 and temperature records in the summer also influenced the increase in electricity demand and, consequently, the demand for generating equipment at Unipro power plants.

The maximum incremental increase in power generation vs. the previous year (+13.8%) was achieved in Q4 2021 due to increase of Berezovskaya GRES load by the System Operator, and acceleration of repair schedule for Surgutskaya GRES-2 power units in comparison with the same period in the previous year.

Heat power output grew by 12.4% vs. 2020, and amounted to 2101.0 thousand Gcal, which can also be attributed to meteorological conditions.
