In our business continuity blogpost (Dutch version), we described previously the possible harm to your business if your systems fail, and how to prevent or limit such damage.

Here, we'll now give you a few first-aid tips to help reduce the risk of an attack or prevent one completely.

  • Don't open emails or attachments from unknown senders, or when you didn't expect an email from the sender.
  • If you have doubts about an email, file, or link, don't take any risks, don't open it.
  • If you suspect that your device has been infected anyway, remove it from the network and turn it off. Disconnect external devices such as USB sticks, external hard drives, etc., from the infected device.
