RIB Software AG, the worlds' leading big data 5D BIM enterprise solution provider, has successfully held its second world conference - iTWO World 2014, from November 19th to 21st in Guangzhou (1 day) and Hong Kong (2 days). iTWO3 - new thinking, new working method and new technology - was once again presented, discussed and put forward as the disruptive elemental force to upgrade construction business into the most advanced industry on the planet.

The iTWO World community was formed in November 2013 during the first conference in Hong Kong, where 88 visionaries from all sectors of construction business presented the first result of iTWO practice, and signed the Hong Kong Manifesto to commit to the vision of transforming construction to the most advanced industry with iTWO technology.

The second conference - iTWO World 2014 - has brought together more than 150 visionaries from 21 countries, including general contractors, developers, owners, investors, governments, universities, media and strategic partners. 13 iTWO technology partners presented their progress over the last year with real world case studies. 4 Universities and 2 government departments presented iTWO technology from their perspective. Munich Re, as the premium partner of RIB, presented the world's first IT based project cost insurance - iTWO PCI.

One special highlight was the Georgia Tech iTWO Tower, presented by Mr. Steven Swant, Executive Vice President for Administration and Finance at the Georgia Institute of Technology. iTWO Tower is a 21st century landmark building complex that integrates living, working, business and science. Anchored by a High Performance Computing Center (HPCC), iTWO Tower is a living lab for a new way of building and a future living standard.

Podium discussion was moderated by Professor Martin Fischer from Stanford University, and Mr. Tom Sawyer, Senior Editor at ENR. Furthermore, during a gala dinner, 16 iTWO Awards were presented for outstanding iTWO practice based on Stanford University research. The conference provided simultaneous interpretation of multiple languages to ensure barrier-free communication.

With the integration of the virtual into the physical engineering process, iTWO 5D Technology is leading the construction innovation in the 21st century. By introducing new products and projects such as iTWO Tower, iTWO PCI, iTWO Cube, iTWO Cloud, and iTWO CAVE, RIB is gradually developing a sustainable product ecosystem for the construction industry and continuously bringing new thinking, new working method and new technology, to build the "Construction 4.0." industry.

The first anniversary of Hong Kong Manifesto along with the active signing of the 2nd-year Hong Kong Manifesto during the conference shows the industry-wide recognition and the support for the new thinking, new technology and new working method of iTWO.
